A few Art Galleries specialising in stained glass and studio glass
While there is no gallery in Australia devoted exclusively to stained glass there are several excellent galleries specialising in contemporary Glass Art. Occasionally they may show stained glass. There are however some specialised stained glass galleries in Europe, perhaps the most exciting being Centre International du Vitrail in Chartres- I had the good fortune to visit this gallery in 2017. Hopefully one day I will manage to get to Ely Cathedral in the UK as well. While in the Netherlands, the Rijksmuseum was top of my list, an amazing building with an absolutely jaw-dropping collection. And I also managed a visit to Museum Jan van der Togt: an excellent art gallery with a focus on contemporary studio glass, well worth the effort. And Vitro Musee in Switzerland was a veritable treasurehouse.
